Each year we set aside a Sunday in the month of May to recognize the woman in our life with whom we have a very special bond. For most of us, that means the woman who gave birth to us. For some of us, this means the woman who actually raised us. For a few of us, this means the woman with whom we have developed such a strong bond that we feel as if this special lady in our life is absolutely our mother. The latter certainly applies to me and my mother.
As many of the cards say, a mother is the woman in our life that has “always been there for us.” She taught us the basics in life and so much more. She was there to mend our scratches and bruises when we were children. She is always there to talk to when we need someone that we can trust and who would give good advice. She is usually one of the best cooks that we know and she always has a dish that you always hope for when you go home. (For me, that is a good homemade apple pie.) And finally, she always gives the warmest hugs and kisses you will ever receive.
While many of us let our mother’s know how much we love them on other days other than Mother’s Day, don’t forget to send that card, those flowers, those chocolates or some other gift that Mom would appreciate! Let her know that you are thinking of her if you cannot see her in person that day. It really will mean a great deal to her to hear from you on that day.

Thankyou EDWARD, I think of you as if I had given birth to you. You and your brother are my sons, and I am so proud of you and your accomplishments. See you soon. Love Kathy.
