The phenomenon that is the Harry Potter series has entertained hundreds of millions of people for quite a few years. It is a story of light and dark, good
and evil as well as the story of a young boy growing into a man while dealing with the shadow of events from when he was an infant.
Many of us have read all of the books at least once, some of us more than once. The movies introduced even more fans to the story. Even though we have watched them over and over, the movies are incredibly entertaining. The excitement about the stories and huge numbers of different characters have led to conferences, and other events like our upcoming Wizarding Weekend, Saturday and Sunday, July 27-28, 2024.
Many of Culpeper’s downtown merchants and restaurants are anxiously awaiting this second year celebrating the birth of Harry Potter at the end of July. Here at The Frenchman’s Corner, our boutique will be transformed into Honeydukes of Culpeper. We will have confections from the Harry Potter series as well as temporarily rename many of our chocolates and gelatos for all of the witches and wizards to enjoy that weekend. We invite everyone to warm up your wands and come out to have a great time exploring all of the shops and restaurants.
